Digital Camera Shake Help?

i have a samsung wb500. it has amazing quality and excellent zoom for a great price. but the only problem i have found with it is that whenever i take pictures somehow most turn out blurred. this isnt my photography skills as my old cameras were fine. is there any way of turning of the shake or hints? ANYTHING. going out in snow and need help fast.

You should not have a problem going out in the snow. You will have more trouble the darker the environment is. The faster the shutter speed the less shaky your photos will be. In the snow you should have a fairly fast shutter speed.

Also, using a flash will often freeze the motion which would help with shakes. Not ever situation lets itself to a flash though.

If it has "amazing quality" why would you blame the camera? Most likely it is you causing the blur.

New Digital cameras have a slew of settings to work with. Are you choosing the correct settings for what youre shooting?

Your lens is f3.3-5.8. That will be fine in decent light but you may get blur hand holding shots in dim light without the flash.

I dont know which other cameras youve had but one problem with new cameras is the lack of a viewfinder. Youre holding the camera at arms length looking at an LCD screen. Holding this way doesnt provide a lot of support and that can lead to blurred photos. Unfortunately this is something users of these cameras without viewfinders will just have to learn to overcome.
