How can I get photos from an old SD card (from 1999, 16 MB) onto my computer?

I came across my old Digital Camera from circa 1999 (Kodak DC3200 -- it's an enormous, clunky thing) that still works and found that the SD card contains some old pictures I'd really like to move onto my computer. I don't have the cable needed to upload the pics from the camera, so I'm wondering if there is any way I can jury rig something together from some modern cables or get the photos directly from the Scandisk card. I'd rather not have to go out and buy a cable just to get the photos off (although I realized that it would be pretty cheap; its just a pain in the ass), nor do I want to pay the photo shop to put them on a CD. The SD card is incompatible with my modern camera, so I can't upload them through it.

Any way to make it work with USB? Perhaps via some kind of franken-cord? Or would the camera be completely incompatible with anything other than a serial cable?

You can either buy another cord, or a card reader, there's no other way.
