Question about Canon EOS Rebel TI 35mm SLR camera?

I am currently a student in a photography class, and I need a camera that you can manually set the shutter speed and the lens opening. Does the Canon EOS Rebel TI 35mm SLR Camera have the manual settings for the shutter speed and lens opening?

Yes, any of the Canon SLR type camera, XT, XTi, XS, XSI and XSi all have the M, A, Tv, and P settings that give you same basic manuel control. Any of those cameras will work for you.

M = Manuel
P = Program
A = Apeture
Tv = Shutter

There are 2 links below. The first is to Canon's website to a page that list the specs on the camera and here is an excerpt:

"Exposure Modes
1. Intelligent program AE with variable shift. 2. Shutter speed-priority AE 3. Aperture-priority AE 4. Auto DDEP 5. Full Auto (Intelligent program AE, unshiftable) 6. Programmed Image COntrol Modes: Portrait, Landscape, Close-up, Sports, Night Portrait and Flash Off 7.E-TTL program flash AE 8.A-TTL program flash AE 9. TTL program flash AE 10. Metered manual"

That last part that states, "10. Metered manual" means that it has manual control of the aperture and shutter speed.

The 2nd link below we download a pdf manual for the camera in case you need it.

Hope this helps.
