Answer by thankyoumaskedman on 10 Jan 2010 10:46:50You'll have basic editing software provided with the camera. If you want something more powerful then you either have to look at Adobe's Photoshop Elements (the latest 2 versions) or Corel's Paint Shop Pro X2 or later. That's pretty much it. The plug-in from Canon is os you can view your files in File Manager, it provides no further functionality.
Answer by Crim Liar on 10 Jan 2010 10:54:15If you updated Adobe Camera Raw to the newest version, perhaps you aren't opening the files properly. In Photoshop, go to the menu item File>Open (might be Open As, I forgot which one) and select Camera Raw in file type and navigate to the directory where your raw images are stored. Raw images are actually edited in Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) which CS3 will launch.
If you still can't get ACR to open, you can use a program called UFraw to edit your raw images.

The raw editor is similar to ACR, but not as slick. Plus, you need to configure it with the proper input color profiles for your camera in options. See [URL Truncated] for camera profiles.
